Your goal is to survive and escape a series of unsettling, liminal mazes. You start in the classic yellow wallpaper rooms of Level 0, searching for the exit door while collecting lore notes and sanity bottles. You must manage your stamina carefully, as running drains it quickly. As you progress to the parking garage in Level 1 and beyond, hostile monsters will begin to patrol and hunt you. A run ends if you lose all five of your lives to monster attacks, or if you manage to unlock the final door in Level 2.
Tips
- Running depletes your stamina completely in 10 seconds, and it takes time to recharge. Only sprint when you are actively being chased by a monster.
- Collect the green sanity bottles scattered around the maze. Restoring your sanity reduces the intense VHS visual glitches that obscure your vision.
- You have exactly 5 lives, represented by the dots on your screen. If a monster gets within its damage range, you will lose a life.

- How do I escape the monsters?
- Break their line of sight by turning corners in the maze. Monsters have a walking detection radius, so walking instead of running can help you slip by unnoticed.
- What does the sanity meter do?
- Your sanity slowly drains as you explore. When it gets low, the game applies heavy VHS static, screen tearing, and visual stress, making it much harder to navigate the maze.
- How do I beat Level 2?
- In Level 2, you need to explore the dark corridors to find keys. Collecting a key gives you a chance to unlock the final exit door, with the odds increasing each time.
