More about this game
Escape the backrooms by progressing through Level 0, the Level 1 parking garage, and Level 2. Explore the maze to find the exit door while collecting sanity bottles and lore notes. Monsters patrol the area and will chase you if they hear you running or see you. Level 2 requires finding a key to unlock the final door. A run ends when you lose all 5 lives to monster attacks or successfully escape.
Tips
- Running depletes your stamina and alerts nearby monsters. Stick to walking when exploring to stay quiet and conserve your 100 stamina for escapes.
- Keep an eye on your sanity meter. Collect the green sanity bottles scattered throughout the maze to restore your mind and prevent intense visual hallucinations.
- In Level 2, the exit door is locked. You must find one of the scattered keys to unlock it, but beware of the faster Smiler monster patrolling the area.
FAQ
- How do I avoid the monsters?
- Monsters patrol the maze and will chase you if they detect you. Walk instead of running to stay quiet, and break line of sight if they start chasing you.
- How many levels are there?
- There are three distinct areas: Level 0's yellow wallpaper maze, Level 1's concrete parking garage, and the dangerous Level 2. You must survive all three to escape.
- What do the lore notes do?
- Lore notes provide backstory and clues about the backrooms. Collecting all 11 notes across the three levels unlocks specific achievements for your run.
