More about this game
Breathe & Hum Guide is a relaxing experience designed to center your focus. The goal is to match your breath to a glowing orb that expands and contracts. The core loop involves following either a 4-4 or 4-7-8 breathing pattern while the orb shifts from warm gold to cool blue. The ambient hum changes pitch to match your inhales and exhales. A run ends automatically after you complete exactly three full breathing cycles, transitioning to a quiet resting screen.
Tips
- Use the 4-7-8 rhythm if you want a longer exhale and a 7-second holding phase to deepen your relaxation inside the glow.
- You can pause the session at any time by tapping the pause button or clicking anywhere on the background canvas.
- Listen to the ambient hum, which shifts its frequency from a base of 55 hertz to match the breathing phases, helping you stay in rhythm with your eyes closed.
FAQ
- How long does a session last?
- A session lasts for exactly three full breathing cycles based on the rhythm you selected. After the third cycle, the screen transitions to a quiet outro phase.
- What is the difference between the rhythms?
- The 4-4 rhythm features a 4-second inhale and a 4-second exhale. The 4-7-8 rhythm includes a 4-second inhale, a 7-second hold where you rest inside the glow, and an 8-second exhale.
- Can I stop the session early?
- Yes, you can tap the reset button in the top right corner to return to the intro screen at any time, resetting your completed cycles back to zero.
