More about this game
In A Place., you must navigate a liminal, repeating hallway to find three hidden notes. Once you have all three, you can unlock the exit door. However, a tall, shadowy hunter stalks the halls. If it sees you, it will chase you down. You earn survival time as you play, which you can spend in the shop for a flashlight or a nearness detector. The run ends if the hunter catches you or if you successfully escape.
Tips
- Listen for the hum of the lights; outages happen every 18 seconds by default, making it harder to see.
- Buy the nearness detector for 35 seconds to get warnings when the hunter is within 18 units.
- Your sprint lasts 3.2 seconds by default, so save it for when the hunter spots you.
FAQ
- How do I get the flashlight?
- You can buy the flashlight in the supply alcove for 20 seconds of your survival time. Tap the LIGHT button or press F to turn it on.
- What happens when the power goes out?
- The lights will fail periodically. The flashlight helps you see during these localized outages, which last a few seconds.
- How do I know if the hunter is near?
- If you buy the nearness detector, it will show 'MOTION', 'NEAR', or 'DANGER' based on how close the hunter is to you.
