More about this game
Aether Tactics is a turn-based strategy game where you command a team of four elemental creatures. Your goal is to incapacitate the entire enemy squad before they defeat yours. Each round, you spend energy on your active creature's unique ability cards, or bank it for later turns. Exploiting elemental weaknesses and managing status effects like Ward or Exposed is key to survival. You earn coins to unlock new creatures between matches, swapping them into your active roster. A run ends when one full team is completely eliminated.
Tips
- Exploiting elemental weaknesses deals 1.35x damage and triggers a Weakness callout, while attacking into a resistance reduces your damage to 0.72x.
- The Ward status effect is a powerful defensive tool that reduces incoming damage by multiplying it by 0.55, but it breaks after taking a hit.
- When you are down to your final surviving creature, Last Stand activates automatically, allowing that single creature to use each of its cards up to 3 times per round.
FAQ
- How do I unlock new creatures for my team?
- You earn coins by completing battles in the arena. Spend these coins in the Highwatch Temple hub to unlock new recruits like the Rimeback Ursid for 900 coins or the Hollowwing Roc for 1400 coins.
- What happens if I don't use all my energy in a round?
- Any unspent energy is banked and carried over to your next turn. This allows you to save up for massive combo turns where you play multiple high-impact cards at once.
- What do the different status effects do in combat?
- Power increases your damage dealt by 1.25x, while Weaken drops it to 0.75x. Burn deals 8 damage at the end of a turn, and Regen restores 7 health. Exposed increases damage taken by 1.2x.
