More about this game
In What's a Hairline?, your goal is to help Pete catch 28 falling hair strands before the 42-second timer runs out. You must move side to side to catch strands and conditioner while avoiding the falling clippers. As the round progresses, items spawn faster and fall quicker, increasing the challenge. Catching strands builds a combo streak for bonus points. A run ends in victory if you catch enough strands, or in defeat if time expires or you lose all three lives by hitting the clippers.
Tips
- Catching strands in a row builds a combo, adding up to 40 extra points per catch, and triggers a streak message every 5 catches.
- Conditioner activates a magnet effect for 5.5 seconds, automatically pulling in any hair strands that fall within a 230-pixel radius of Pete.
- The game gets harder over time; items can fall up to 33 percent faster and spawn up to 33 percent quicker as the timer ticks down.
FAQ
- How do I win the round?
- You win by catching the required goal of 28 hair strands before the 42-second timer reaches zero. If time runs out before you reach 28, you lose the round.
- What exactly happens if I hit the clippers?
- Hitting the clippers costs you one of your 3 lives and completely resets your combo streak. It also subtracts 2 strands from your total caught count and deducts 25 points from your score.
- How does the scoring system work?
- Each standard hair strand gives you 10 base points, plus 2 bonus points for every consecutive catch in your current combo, capping at 40 bonus points. Grabbing a conditioner bottle instantly awards a flat 50 points.
