More about this game

Aether Chess: Law of the Grid challenges you to clear an 8x8 board of enemy crystals using a limited number of moves. You control a single piece but can freely switch its movement rules between King, Queen, Rook, Knight, Bishop, and Pawn at any time. Each level presents a specific arrangement of enemies and a strict move budget. You must carefully plan your sequence of moves and rule changes to eliminate all targets. If you exhaust your move budget before clearing the grid, you must restart the level.

Tips

  • Switching piece rules does not cost a move, so change them as often as needed.
  • The Pawn rule only allows moving exactly one tile forward (up the screen).
  • Plan your path backward from the last enemy to ensure you don't waste moves.

FAQ

How many levels are there?
There are 10 levels, starting from Obsidian and ending with Cosmic Prism, each with a specific move budget.
Can enemies capture my piece?
No, enemies are stationary crystals waiting to be eliminated by your moves.
What happens if I make an invalid move?
The game will display an 'Invalid Calculation' alert and play an error sound, but it won't cost you a move.
