How to play
- Tap an element from your grid to place it into the first slot on the altar.
- Tap a second element to attempt a magical alchemical combination with the first one.
- If the recipe is valid, a brand new element is permanently added to your Codex.
- Check the Recipe Book to see your discovered formulas and track your overall progress.
- Filter your discovered elements by Nature, Magic, or Essence to find them more easily.

Start with four primal elements—Earth, Water, Fire, and Air—and combine them to uncover new secrets. Your primary goal is to discover 15 elements, but the true challenge is finding all 45 to complete the Grand Codex. Tap one element to place it on the altar, then tap another to attempt a merge. Valid combinations create a brand new element, while invalid ones simply shake the workspace and tell you to try again. The game continues until you unlock the entire Recipe Book and become a True Alchemist.
Tips
- Every recipe works in either order, so you do not need to worry about which element you select first when experimenting on the altar.
- Use the category tabs like Nature, Magic, or Essence to quickly filter and find specific elements as your grid of discoveries grows larger.
- Check the Recipe Book to review your past discoveries and see exactly how many of the 45 formulas remain unknown in your current run.

- How many elements are there to find?
- There are 45 total elements to discover in the Grand Codex. You start with just four primal essences: Earth, Water, Fire, and Air, and must combine them to find the rest.
- What happens if a combination is wrong?
- If two elements do not mix, the altar will shake and a message will tell you that the elements resist each other. You do not lose any progress or elements.
- Can I see my past combinations?
- Yes, you can tap the Recipe Book button at the bottom of the screen to open a ledger showing all the formulas you have successfully discovered so far.
